1971
In Siete Aguas, a town steeped in history and traditions, MONTAJES ELECTRÓNICOS DORCAS, SL was founded in 1971, founded by Don José Vicente Ibáñez and several other partners, with the hope and enthusiasm of beginning an adventure that has not yet ended.
Since its foundation, it has maintained the philosophy instilled by Don José Vicente Ibáñez: People together, united and happy.
1982
In 1982, Spain and its economy were changing, DORCAS defied the crisis and established itself in the national market specialized in the manufacture of electromechanical opening systems.
2000
10 years later the export market begins to grow. CAD systems are introduced to facilitate industrial automation. In the year 2000, DORCAS managed to have a large presence worldwide, bringing our products to more than 70 countries spread across 5 continents.
2002
In 2002 DORCAS moved to new facilities after significant growth in the company. In 2008, two of the most relevant DORCAS products to date were developed, the 54 series, the best-selling series, and the DUO, an electromechanical lock, introducing an innovative system.
2011
In 2011, when the company turns 40, Pablo Ibáñez, son of Don José Vicente Ibáñez, is named CEO of DORCAS, maintaining the same philosophy instilled by his father and increasing the range of products to satisfy the needs of the market and our customers. .
2015
Once again, in 2015 DORCAS has strong growth, incorporating more automation in its processes to begin a new market strategy. After this strategy, introduced by Pablo Ibáñez, DORCAS achieves world number 2018 in 2 in production volume of door openers.
2018
Since 2018 it has not stopped growing. Our non-conformist and persevering character has allowed us to gradually develop a very extensive range of products, until we have more than 5000 different door opener models adapted to different standards and the different needs of the 5 continents.
Present
After more than 50 years of experience, today at DORCAS we continue to bet on the future and that is why innovation is a distinctive feature of our company; We have an active R&D&i department that uses the latest technologies and tools to design new models and optimal solutions.
